Pros and cons of The World in 2017 app for iPhone and iPad

The World in 2017 app good for

Very informative app and it made me want to buy the real mag. But there is a bug in the video sections: they do not have sound! Hope they can fix this real soon!
Careful and Compreensive choices of themes. Good work, as always!
I buy the magazine and download the app every year. I find the articles well written and well thought out for the most part. Its a great read over the holidays.
Love the audio option for when driving or cant read. Great App!
Great app. One flaw was that after some time, it started to change the layout of the articles. It was initially similar to the more elegant layout of the printed edition, but then the text would fill the whole screen and, worse, when scrolling up and down it would instead go left or right, turning the page. Another problem was that when enlarging the images, sometimes the ends would be cut making it difficult to read some figures.
The design is very nice. Each article has been made to be very interactive for the reader.

Some bad moments

I really liked the print edition, but this digital one didnt work in my iPad. I think it needs improvements.
version 4.0.2 -- some articles seem to be missing in audio, others are there apparently twice as audio, plays two audio titles at the same time and cannot bestopped, no apparent connection between printed article and corresponding audio, diverts attention from content
As a loyal listener to The Economist, I was extremely disappointed by this app. Forcing me to use SoundCloud, which doesnt work on the train and shuts down in sleep mode, was a poor decision. Why use an alternative, when you have a perfectly good existing tool? I regret purchasing.
The content is great when you can get to it This year Im having a lot of screens show up as blank white, I think the app is crashing or having problems Its mid-November so I expect theyll fix the software issues soon
Paid 10 dollars for the magazine to get a reward from a game... Didnt get a reward, I want my money back!
I should get the digital edition for free if I ca get The Economist digital edition included with my print subscription
